Mandy Gonzalez, a Saugus High graduate and Broadway star best known for her roles in the following productions - the original Nina in In the Heights, Angelica in Hamilton, Elphaba in Wicked, Norma in Sunset Blvd - returned to California to perform her hits at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica on February 28, 2026. Valencia High Jazz Choirs and select choir students were honored to sing backup in her closing number. There is nothing better in music education than learning by doing. Our students were inspired!
