Chamber Choir Wins First Place and $8,500 Scholarship Prize

May 9, 2025

Valencia High School Chamber Choir enjoyed an inspiring day at the Verdugo Hills A Cappella Scholarship Festival, joining 12 outstanding choirs from across Southern California in a celebration of exceptional choral music.

The ensemble delivered compelling performances of two powerful selections: Clear Blue Morning by Dolly Parton, arranged by Craig Hella Johnson, and The End of Love by Florence + the Machine, arranged by Shams Ahmed. Their artistry, musicianship, and emotional connection to the music captivated both the audience and adjudicators, earning them the festival's highest honor.

Congratulations to Chamber Choir on being named the First Place winner, taking home the festival trophy, plaque, and an impressive $8,500 cash prize. We are incredibly proud of these talented students and their outstanding achievement!
