VHS Choir NYC Carnegie Hall Tour 2026

April 24-29, 2026

Valencia High School Choir traveled to New York City from April 24–29 for an unforgettable six-day experience filled with music, culture, and inspiration. The centerpiece of the trip was a performance at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall under the direction of acclaimed conductor Jason Max Ferdinand. As a featured ensemble, Valencia Choir was also honored to have its own director, Mrs. Christine Tavares-Mocha, take the stage to conduct during the choir's featured performance.

When they weren't performing, students experienced some of New York City's most iconic attractions. They visited the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, enjoyed a dinner cruise on the Hudson River with breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline, and attended two outstanding Broadway productions.

The trip offered students invaluable opportunities for musical growth, cultural enrichment, and lasting friendship. From performing in one of the world's most prestigious concert halls to exploring the vibrant energy of New York City, the experience created memories that will stay with them for years to come.

Special thanks to the Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation for its generous educational sponsorship of our Valencia Choir students.
